Urban Rush - part of our fundraising challenge
Joe, Peter and Stephen completed the first in a series of challenges to raise money for a loved one who suffered a stroke at just 32.
We ran 15 miles from Ashton to Media City on the 23rd September as part of Shelter’s Urban Rush challenge. We were joined by Chris Hutchinson from TechAlign.
We have embarked on a gruelling series of challenges with the aim of raising a minimum of £30,000. This will be used to adapt the home of Sam, Stephen’s sister, who tragically suffered a stroke 18 months ago with a life-changing impact.
The challenges will test us to our limits and will include triathlons and marathons, culminating in the Staffordshire Ironman 70.3 in June 2019.
Because the cause is so dear to our hearts, we have pledged to match the first donations to a total of £5,000.
Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire consists of a 1.2-mile swim in Chasewater Reservoir, a 56-mile bike course through the stunning countryside, followed by a 13.1-mile run from Riverway to Stafford Town Centre before finishing in Market Square.
